Access to the Sanctuaries in Lourdes
You can access the Sanctuaries the whole year long, 24/24. Please be aware that during the night, only the access by the forest road is open. You can engage with private prayer near the Massabielle grotto and leave a candle.
Mass in Lourdes
At each entry of the Sanctuaries, you will find a list of the church services given and the prayer language. There are about 70 mass given per day in one of the 40 places of worship of the Lourdes Sanctuaries. International Mass takes place on Wednesdays and Sundays at 9 am, from April to October. Almost 25,000 believers from the whole world gather in the underground basilica St Pius X!
Les messes internationales sont célébrées tous les mercredis et dimanches à 9h, d'avril à octobre. La basilique souterraine St Pie X se remplira alors de près de 25 000 fidèles venus du monde entier !
Pèlerin d'un jour - One-day pilgrimage
The Lourdes Sanctuaries offers "One-day pilgrimage" excursions. A priest will welcome you in the morning around 8am, near the crowned Virgin. You will then have a guided visit of the sanctuaries. You will be able to confess, to go to the baths or make the Stations of the Cross.
Audioguide for the Sanctuaries
For 5 euros, the Sanctuaries will lend you an audioguide. It will accompany you in your visit but also in the city of Lourdes, in the footsteps of Saint Bernadette.
